Why I Don't Want You To Leave
I told you I didn't want you to leave and you asked why. My answer was because you were you and that without you, I wasn't complete, or something like that. I don't remember what was said exactly, it feels like a lifetime ago even though it was only last week. So I wanted to say exactly why I want you to stay.
1 - I love you. When I say that, I mean that I am in love with you. Everything you do touches my heart in ways that only you can touch.
2 - You have the most beautiful smile. It makes my day better just seeing it in the picture of us from the Wings game. Seeing it in person raises my heart rate.
3 - I get lost in your eyes. Those are the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. When you ask me what I'm looking at as I'm just staring at you, that's it. I get lost in your eyes.
4 - Your heart is as big as the world. You are so full of love and everyone around you can feel it and either get jealous or fall in love with it, like I did.
5 - You have long, sexy legs. I find every part of you sexy.
6 - Brushing your hair over your ear. I know that is from Zombieland, but I love doing that to you. It relaxes me and I feel so close to you when I do it.
7 - Your laugh is contagious. I smile and feel amazing no matter how bad my day is when I hear it.
8 - Hearing your voice fills my heart with joy. I don't know how to describe the feeling I get when I hear your voice. All I can say is it is the most calming and lovely voice that I have ever heard.
9 - My heart flutters around you. There are times when I need to catch my breath around you. That's it, you are breathtaking.
10 - Your family values. You love family. Enough said.
11 - You are the best kind of friend a person could have. Just ask your friends. I feel the same way. I can tell you anything or rant about something and you always make it better.
12 - You are incredibly smart. You are about to graduate from college. You have given me great advice and helped me through many things.
13 - Responsibility is a part of who you are. You pay for your own school, your own bills while living on your own.
14 - I believe you when you say you love me, even as you walked out. Either that or you should go into acting. I don't think that is the case and I hope everyday and all day that you fix what you need to as you said you would so we can get back to being happy.
15 - The same goes for when you said you wanted to be with me. See above.
16 - You are dedicated and committed. When you decide to do something, put all of yourself into it and see it through to the end. Just like I would love to get back to with us, seeing it through. I believe in us.
17 - You are honest. As hard as it was to say that you weren't ready to be a mom, you still stood up and said it. That is an amazing thing for a person to say to someone they love and I am proud of you for it.
18 - You make the world a better place. Everyone around you enjoys being around you. I know that seems silly with the people you experience at work, but you are not your job and that doesn't count.
19 - You make my life better. I would have just let you go and not done any of the tweets or emails or texts or this blog if it didn't. I told you I wasn't giving up on us and I meant it. I need you and I'm not willing to let you go.
20 - You make me want to be a better person. I want to give you the world and by being a better person, I know I can do that.
These are just a few things about why I didn't and still don't want you to go. Most of all, because I love you with all of my heart. You said you love me too and that is enough. I need you in my life.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life.
Today is the first day of the rest of your life. It is up to you to choose what to do with it. Willl you sit back and wait for something to happen to you, or will you make something happen? Will you trust in love or let it go? Will you make good choices that will impact those around you or will you bring those people down? Me? I’m going to start today off on the right foot, great choices like fighting for the one I love, insipring people and being optomistic. No one is going to choose my attitude fro me, that’s up to me and me alone.
If you sit back and wait for somthing to happen to you, then you may be waiting for a long time for if you expect it to be a good or better yet, a great thing. If you want that good or great thing to happen, then you must decide and decide quickly what it is and then go and get it. I know what that is for me and I’m going to get it, keep it and never let it go. The stuff dreams are made of right? I’m talking about a person, not a thing. After all, people make the world go round and we need those people to keep our world spinning. I hope it is a great thing or person for you and you are going to get it. Good luck!
We are responsable for making our own decisions and just because someone else tries to push you in a certain direction, your choices are the ones that will impact your life. I read a great quote this morning and it goes like this, “An optomist is a person who a green light everywhere, while a pessimist sees only red stoplights... The truly wise person is color-blind.” Albert Schweitzer. This came from a blod called Thedailylove titled Todays’s Quotes: Stress isn’t what happens to us. It’s our response TO what happens. Choose wisely and look for those green lights and those great things you may be looking for just might end up in your life. Sometimes it’s what you already have and may need some work and effort, but if it’s worth it, then that’s what it will take no matter where you are at in your life.
Love is an amazing thing. Hurts like hell and yet we can’t seem to stop looking for it. It’s like a drug that consumes you and you feel like you can’t live without. Everything changes with love and that’s ok. Things like breathing, planning, thinking, behaviors, routines and so on and so on. The best thing about love is that we are all able to give it and recieve it. If that happens between you and your significant other, then it’s the greatest thing in the world and never let it go because you are one of the lucky few. It’s hard to find and mostly when you’re not looking for it. Happened to me and I am thankful for that, no matter where it ends up going. But that one is just for me. All of us are able to accomplish great things in life, but those great things will mean nothing if we don’t have someone to curl up next to at night and share them with. For me, that is what I choose to go and keep because I trust in love.

Lucky Man: I Need To Vent

I Need To Vent
I need to vent about work a little bit so thanks for listening, or reading if you look at it.
I am a General Manager for a chain restaurant that, in the past, had 3 top priorities that we believed in, the first was your health (without that, you could not take care of business), second came your family (if that wasn't in order, then your focus would on that and not on things you need to focus on) and finally came your job (which supports everything else in your life).
Sounds great and was they way they ran their company. Now that we no longer have those same leaders that believed in this, things are exactly the opposite. They don't worry about your health because they work you to death. They don't care about your family because of the same reason, all work and no play. They do care about your job, because that is all they keep pushing. Work, work, work. It's all about the almighty dollar.
So, now instead of managing my restaurant, I am busy doing the jobs that I hired people to do. You see, they keep taking away hours that we are allowed to use and that puts me and the managers that work for me in a position to do the jobs that don't get done since I can't schedule people to do those jobs. Shitty and not what I signed up for.
I have 2 managers that work for me and one of them is out with knee surgery which leaves me and the other manager to handle everything. I hope he gets better soon, his knee was in bad shape and needed to get this done. So what did my boss do? He told me to figure it out on my own and that I would get no help. Great guy huh? This has made the other manager miss out on a vacation and I am about to miss out on one if he doesn't get back in time. The other manager is great and doesn't deserve this. Oh ya, she is also missing out on a vacation because we are redoing our entire menu and service so the awesome leaders of our company have blocked out vacation time during most of July and August.
So, I do have options. I have an opportunity that would put me with a better company that would give me the chance to be with the people who matter most. You know who you are and you do matter most. There are 3 people in this world that I consider whenever I make any decisions, especially the important ones. My 2 kids and my amazing woman. So the problem with this opportunity would mean I would have to move. Not soon, there is a long training period, 4 months I think. But the two places I would be looking at would be in Ohio and Virginia. What to do, what to do? Stay here and be miserable with my job or move and be away from at least one of my kids who lives with my ex-wife and my woman who I don't think would want to make the move.
I need help so if you read this and have any ideas, or another option for me, please let me know.
I am an optimist and I know things will work out and there will be the right opportunity for me and everyone in my life. Now, time to do some more job hunting.

That's What She Said
Quick and short funny story that I heard at work toady. It comes from a server that works for me, so here it is.
She was out at a bar with a friend last night and was getting heavily checked out by a guy who was unattractive and lost in an era from a long time ago. She described him as wearing painted on white jeans and a little creepy. Funny because it sounds like the 80's. Anyway, she just ignored him. After a while, her friend had enough and went up to the guy and asked him if he had a 9 inch penis. My first thought at this point was, could she see it from the jeans he was wearing? I mean if they were that tight, then it would show, right? Not what she had in mind when she asked the question. You see, this server is engaged and was not interested and was just trying to not make a scene. So her friend took charge. The guy gave her a dirty look and asked why. She then replied that if he didn't then the server would not be interested because, other than her drinks, a 9 inch penis was the only thing that was the smallest thing getting into her tonight.
Now, what makes this funnier is that it was just inside the dining room by our beverage station (some of you who read this may know where this is) and a guest overheard the conversation and as I was dying laughing, I was called over to the table that heard her telling the story. The table was in tears laughing as I started to apologize. They then told me that they weren't upset and that it was just what they needed, to laugh as hard as I was. Imagine, the GM walking to a table in tears from laughing and thinking a had a guest complaint on my hands and then it turned into a great conversation. The guests loved the fact that we were real people and said it made their day.
Anyways, I said it would be short and sweet, That's what she said!
